Mike and I left San Francisco at 3pm. The plane was delayed but we actually landed early in Dublin. A nice 9.5 hour direct flight. I got to watch 4 movies including 'Marley and Me'. I can't remember the last time I cried that much watching a movie...
We got a car rental for the Ireland part of the trip. A small Nissan Note. It is tiny and very cute. I will add pictures once I get them off the camera. The drive to Newtownmountkennedy (why they don't put space in the name of the town is a total mystery to me) was very fast. This is where Mike's parents live and where Mike grew up. We went for a wee walk to town. Saw Mike's school. Oh we did go for a small nap before that. I don't think that the jet lag is affecting yet...
It was a very nice first day spending time with Mike's parent and eating very good home made Irish food!

ReplyDeleteYou'll be able to see some pictures once i post them... lots of potatoes and carrots. I love the stew and then cabbage and ham... Mike's mom also makes a good Chocolate Biscuit Cake! I wish I could bring some back home....
